Based on an evolving understanding of innovative environments for treating dementia in the ageing process, AJA was approached to develop a concept for a unique outdoor remedial training area designed with consideration of the experimental ‘reversible destiny’ gardens approach in the US and Japan.

This was conceived as three distinct areas to stimulate the mind, body and spirit, all linked by a continuous path returning to a central hub and amenities.

The goal was not only to provide therapy but to also test and measure the effects, adding to a broader understanding of how space and environmental conditions can affect dementia and help manage its impacts.

Concept only.
