For Ministry of Sound’s new Sydney headquarters, major adaptive reuse of a former bootmaker’s factory provided the structure for a playful interpretation of its industrial aesthetic that could also provide an ‘album cover’ for the MoS identity to be expressed through its interiors consultant. The essence of the building’s structure was reassembled in a layout that incorporated a range of open plan and technical studios, updated amenities, a new lift and stairwell and rejuvenated entry that gives the building its distinctive Crown Street presence.
