Outdoor Theraputic Training Device (OTTD) Dementia Concept
Based on an evolving understanding of innovative environments for treating dementia in the ageing process, AJA was approached to develop a concept for a unique outdoor remedial training area.

Residential Aged Care Facility – Parkes, NSW
The SCC Parkes RACF was conceived around the idea of providing a rambling, country farm house, much like the situation many of the residents would be used to. The ‘houses’ are limited in size and are accessed off internal ‘streets’ by a ‘front door’, the harsh western plains climate restricting external connections.

Parkes Independent Living Units
Responding to the growing need for appropriate seniors and aged care accommodation in regional areas, AJA has sought to create a village oriented character for this complex of independent living units (ILUs) for Parkes in western NSW.

Design toolkit by AJA: Age'n'dem
AJA are completing a design manual for a local government authority to improve streetscapes for older people and people with dementia, most of whom still live in their homes, to encourage them to get out and engage with their local neighbourhood.

Affordable Housing Units
This affordable rental project consists of 4 x 1 bedroom and 7 x 2 bedroom adaptable units, designed for future use by seniors or people with a disability.

Watermark, Wagga Wagga
Setting a new benchmark for retirement living in regional Australia, this complex of independent living units integrates communal facilities of a heritage listed former Catholic seminary with 56 contemporary apartments set in landscaped grounds on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.
