“Integrity is the essence of everything successful” Buckminster Fuller
AJA has completed a wide range of innovative work in over three decades, and a sample of projects in various sectors is provided here to demonstrate the experience and capacity in design resolution and execution.
Details of project teams and photographers are available on request, together with further details on similar work.
With the increasing need to monitor development design quality in recent years, AJA also participates, via Jon Johannsen, in a number of local council design review panels.

North Curl Curl
A 3 level family residence on a narrow, steep site with magnificent ocean and lagoon aspects and accommodating four bedrooms, two living areas and garaging. These spaces are linked by a service spine running along one boundary leaving remaining three sides open to the extensive views, and with a stepped roof form to meet the planning regulations.
Redfern terraces
In a compact and efficiently planned development on a city fringe back lane, this unique group of five 4 level terraces responds to the urban context with a palette of materials and details that assist privacy, security, spatial flow and sustainable design initiatives.
Recipient of RAIA Architecture Award for Multiple Housing 2003.
Lane Cove Scout Hall
Way of the River – Granville
To activate and animate blank walls and entries to a mixed use development, this urban scale artwork was conceived to graphically create a story based on a poem referencing the nearby Duck Creek that flows into the Parramatta River. (AJA in conjunction with artists Kath Fries and Rhonda Pryor).
